Contact form. Our contact form asks for your first and last name, telephone number, email address and your message. Submissions are emailed to us and are not stored on the website. The form uses hCaptcha to check that a real person is sending it, which collects technical information such as your IP address and browser details.

Website visits. When you visit, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, but only if you agree. See Cookies and analytics below.

We only use your information for the reason you gave it to us:

• to reply to your enquiry and quote for work (our legitimate interest in answering you, or taking steps you asked for before a contract)
• to carry out the work and keep accounting and tax records (to fulfil our contract with you, and our legal obligation)
• to protect our form from spam (our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure)
• to understand how our website is used, so we can improve it (only with your consent)

We do not sell your information, and we do not send you marketing.

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept optional cookies. Nothing optional is set until you choose. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie Settings link at the bottom of every page.

• Essential cookies remember your cookie choice and keep the site working. These are always on.
• Statistics (Google Analytics) tells us which pages are visited and how people find us. It is only switched on if you accept. Google may process this information outside the UK, under safeguards approved by UK law.

We only share your information with companies that help us run our business, and only what they need:

• our website and email hosting provider, based in the UK
• hCaptcha, for spam protection on our contact form
• Google, for Analytics (if you accept)
• our bank and accountant, for payments and our accounts

We may also share information if the law requires it.

We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up. If you become a customer, we keep your records for as long as the law requires, usually six years.

Our website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, and access to our email and website is protected by passwords and limited to the people who need it.

You have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• ask us to delete your information
• object to, or ask us to limit, how we use it
• withdraw your consent at any time, for example through Cookie Settings
